Sheffield Hypnotherapist and heart rate monitor watch | www ...

Post under construction.

Hrt rate monitor watch.

Dear all

20 years ago I went to see both a Hypnotherapist and psycho analyst in Killamarsh in Sheffield, when suffering from panic attacks and high levels of stress in the 1990?s. ? The Hypnotherapist and psycho analysts in Sheffield, helped me to resolve the high levels of stress and panic attacks, but I was still feeling stuck.

I came across an advertisement in the daily express and purchased a Mind machine from Lifetools in Manchester. ?A mind machine has flashing lights in goggles and generates tones. ? Normal waking consciounsess is above 14 hz, which is called beta. ?Therefore by generating a tone of 8hz, the flashing lines and tones will take you down into Alpha. ? The mind machine could be used to take you down into a Theta and Delta state of mind if necessary.

There are many different programmes on the mind machine. ?I purchased the Mindland DLS to start with and upgraded to the Orion later.

Rather than upgrading to the Procycon mind machine, I started using the Centerpointe program. ?However I warn you not to use the Centerpointe program, as I had some bad side effects while using it. ?I was OK for the first levels, which could last up to six months, but on one of the later levels, I got no benefit from it. ? For three months of the program, all it did was give me headaches, an upset stomach and hair loss. ?I wonder if this level had a defect and the wrong frequencies were programmed into it. ?The Centerpointe help desk were of no use and wouldn?t refund my money.

Over 12 months ago the UK guild of Hypnotist examiners at Scarborough asked me to do a talk at their annual conference on Mind machines, which I thoroughly enjoyed doing, it also allowed me to evaluate certain things. ? Scarborough is only about 90 miles from Sheffield and by the sea, so I had a pleasant day there after doing a well received talk.

The original Mindlab DLS and Orion used isochoronous tones to create the different frequencies. ? Which meant they couldn?t go below 1 hz, which is where the Centerpointe program focussed on. ?I understand that the Procyon mind machine can do binuaral beats and it is possible to program it from your PC.

Because the Centerpointe program could work below 1hz, it was possible to subject you to low delta frequencies, the reason for me seeing very vivid imagery. ?This didn?t happen until the last month of a six month level, as the really low delta frequencies were achieved.

As you progressed into deeper levels of the Centerpointe program, the frequencies used for generating a binuaral beat were lowered. ? To create a 8hz frequency, you would put 150 hz in one hear and 158hz in the other. ? A human hear less than 20hz, the reason for creating it in this way. ? To increase the potency of the program, to generate a more powerful 8hz, you would put 100hz ?in one ear and 108hz in the other. ? If for example when I was using the program, 100hz was put in one ear and 130hz in the other ear, it would have made me very stressed, as it would have taken me into a high level of Beta.

Since using the Centerpointe program, I haven?t felt as though I can relax using binaural beats or with my old mind machine, but I have found a much better way using a Ganzfeld device. ?I cut a ping pong ball in half and put over both eyes. ?I then lay on a bed in a partially lit room and keep looking into the white field.

Originally I used a biofeedback machine to compare binaural beats against a Ganzfeld machine, but wasn?t convinced with the results. ?I therefore decided to buy a Hrt monitor watch from Argos in Sheffield, which cost me ?35. ?You can purchase a much cheaper one from Llyods the chemist, but you get what you pay for.

I bought a Polar FT1 hrt watch, which is very easy to program. ?More expensive verisions of hrt watches, can be downloaded to your PC, so that you can print out a graph of your heart rate.

I have found that when I am resting that my heart rate is 70bpm, I think it is a little high, I would prefer it to be closer to 60bpm. ?When I use Monaural or binaural beats, it doesn?t make much change to my heart rate. ?But when I look into a Ganzfeld for half and hour, my heart rate drops down to 60bpm. ?I have a lot of experimentation to do with Ganzfeld, but I can?t see the benefit of binaural or monuaral beats after my discovery.

I would love to get a local company in Sheffield to help me make a ganzfeld mask that I could sell, as it would be a lot cheaper and more effective than a mind machine. ?The Ganzfeld reminds me of using a flotation tank which cost thousands of pounds, without getting all the salt in my hair.

Please try my free 20 minute relaxation session, by clicking under the links at the top right hand side of the page. ? Full length Hypnotherapy downloads can be purchased on the downloads page of the site. ? Downloads cost ?11 and include free email support. ?Only purchase a recording if you are willing to listen daily for the next month.

Until next time think positive.

Best regards

Tim
